We believe that solidarity does not know borders. To us, solidarity is not just about being there for our friends, family and neighbours; it is also about supporting the people we don’t know. People who were perhaps born in a different country, who might speak a different language, and who we maybe feel less connected with. To us, solidarity is acknowledging and supporting these people. Because they are human, just like you and me.
Buying our items, and therefore supporting our work, means that you look beyond your own surroundings and that you believe that we can achieve way more if we think of ourselves as a collective instead of only one.
‘I don’t believe in charity. I believe in solidarity. Charity is vertical. It goes from the top to the bottom. Solidarity is horizontal. It respects the other person. We have a lot to learn from other people’. – Eduardo Galeano
